Title |
RNA sequencing of the head and tail of planarian Schmidtea mediterranea during nr4A inhibition |
Organism |
Schmidtea mediterranea |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
RNA sequencing identified various nr4A-regulated genes in the head and tail, including a large number of muscle-enriched genes and many positional control genes, most of which were down-regulated by nr4A inhibition.

|
Overall design |
RNA sequencing was performed on transversely resected heads and tails of animals after 2, 3, 4, or 5 weeks of control or nr4A RNAi. Gene expression in the heads and tails of nr4A RNAi animals was compared with gene expression in the heads and tails, respectively, of control RNAi animals to identify nr4A-dependent genes.
