Title |
RNA sequencing of single cells from the midline posterior extremity in planarian Schmidtea mediterranea |
Organism |
Schmidtea mediterranea |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
RNA sequencing of single cells from the midline posterior tip of the tail and posterior blastema in planarian Schmidtea mediterranea identified new posterior-pole enriched genes
|
|
|
Overall design |
RNA sequencing was performed on wnt1+ and wnt- single muscle cells (collagen+) from the midline tail tips in uninjured animals and the midline posterior blastemas in regenerating animals 72-hours after transverse amputation, and gene expression of posterior pole cells (wnt1+; collagen+) was compared with that of non-posterior pole muscle cells (wnt1-; collagen+) to identify genes differentially expressed in the posterior pole.
