Title |
PHYB and PHYC–mediated transcriptomic responses to short and long day photoperiods in wheat |
Organism |
Triticum turgidum subsp. durum |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The phytochromes (PHYs) are a family of photoreceptors which absorb red and far-red light to modulate developmental responses in photosynthetic organisms. We developed knockout mutants of PHYB and PHYC in tetraploid wheat and performed RNA-seq studies to analyze and compare the regulons of each phytochrome under short day photoperiods.

Overall design |
Illumina Truseq v2 RNA-seq libraries were constructed from four biological replicates of Wild-type controls, phyBnull and phyCnull mutants. Raw reads were trimmed for quality and adapter contaminations and mapped to the IWGSC RefSeqv1.0 wheat genome assembly. Sequencing reads mapping uniquely within regions annotated as high confidence and low confidence gene models were used to determine relative expression profiles. We provide tables of raw counts and TPM data for each gene.
