Title Transcriptional trajectories of anther development provide candidates for engineering male fertility in sorghum.
Organism Sorghum bicolor
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We report transcriptome profiling from three developing stages of anthers in sorghum. Sequencing of nine libraries (three replicates from each stage) yielded >1.12 billion paired-end reads. A total of 31871 known genes expressed in all three replicates of at least one anther stage.

Overall design Examination of 3 different stages of anther development in Sorghum bicolor variety M35-1
