Title |
Transcriptional variation in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica depending on substrate and pH conditions applied in bioreactor cultivations |
Organism |
Yarrowia lipolytica |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Yarrowia lipolytica exhibits phenotypic variations depending on external triggers like substrate and pH conditions. The purpose of this study was to create a dataset to unravel the transcriptional regulation behind the observed phenotype.

|
Overall design |
Total RNA extraction and RNA-seq were performed on biomass samples taken during bioreactor cultivations of Yarrowia lipolytica on glucose or glycerol as carbon source and varying pH conditions (3.5 and 5.5). Biomass samples were taken in biological triplicates during growth phase and during N-limited stationary phase.
