Title Effect of hydroxy vs amino complex in zinc uptake, in WT and Zip4-/- mice
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Amino complexed zinc has superior uptake to hydroxy-complexed zinc, in both WT mice, and particularly in ZIP4 (zinc transporter) knockout mice.

Overall design Gut mRNA profiles of wild type (WT), ZIP4 +/-, and Zip4-/- mice fed 15 ppm zinc in organic complexes, with the zinc attached at either hydroxy or amino terminus
