Title |
Expression data of the livers of male C57Bl6/N mice after i.p. injection of CCl4 |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Intoxication with CCl4 is a frequently used technique to induce liver damage in mice. The compound induces cell death of hepatocytes in the pericentral region of the liver lobule.

Overall design |
Male 8-10 weeks old C57BL/6N mice were obtained from Janvier Labs (France). Mice received a single intraperitoneal injection of CCl4 (1.6 g/kg b.w. in olive oil). The used CCl4 was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (289116-1L, Germany). The liver tissue was collected after 2 and 8 hours and 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 16 days following CCl4 administration. The control liver (time point zero) was collected from untreated mice. The mice received standard diet ad libitum before and after CCl4 administration.
