Title 5' UTR-dependent m6A methylation regulates aging and circadian rhythms in Drosophila [RNA-seq head]
Organism Drosophila melanogaster
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary To evoke further attention to the potential hazard of increasingly accumulative blue light exposure, we construct a series of in vivo Drosophila models employed for multi-omics analyses. This project includes the RNA-seq data of w1118 male adult heads.

Overall design Briefly, we colonized Drosophila melanogaster w1118 under the photoperiodic cycles of 12 h low-intensity blue light exposure: 12 h darkness (BD) and consistent darkness (DD) until 10- (namely BD10 and DD10) and 25-day-old (namely BD25 and DD25) after eclosion, respectively. We then performed polyadenylated (poly-A) MeRIP-seq and untargeted metabolome analysis for the male adult whole flies, and performed poly-A RNA-seq for the male adult heads and the 3-day-old male adult whole flies grew from the earlier eggs as the F1 generation (namely BD8F1, BD23F1, DD8F1, and DD23F1, respectively) for assessing the influences of parental photoperiods and natural aging.
