Title Genetic and functional analyses of archaeal ATP-dependent RNA Ligase

Summary In this study, we generated allelic knockouts of ATP-dependent RNA ligase (Rnl) in hyperthermophilic archaeon T. kodakarensis and analyze the small RNAs.
 
Overall design T. kodakarensis gene encoding for RNA ligase TK1545 was knock-out by homologous recombination, and the RNA samples were analyzed by RNA seq. The differentially expressed circular RNAs between the two strains were analyzed.
