Title The m6A methyltransferase METTL3 participate in the attenuated effect of BPA on learning and memory in rat
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Methylation profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Bisphenol A (BPA), a widely used endocrine disruptor, has been implicated in cognitive impairment via epigenetic machinery. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has recently emerged as a new epigenetic factor that negatively influencing cognition, but the role of m6A in BPA induced cognitive deficits has not been explored yet. Here, m6A sequencing in total RNA of neurons after BPA exposure was performed and compare.

Overall design Primary neurons were cultured and exposed to BPA with 1mM for 48h on DIV 12-14. Total RNA was extracted using RNA isolater Total RNA Extraction Reagent (R401-01, Vazyme, China) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. m6A RNA-Seq service was provided by Cloudseq Biotech Inc. (Shanghai, China).
