Summary |
Immunometabolism is one of the recent targets to modify the immunological resposes as well as to inhibit the autoimmunity. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression underlying immumetabolism and identified distinct classes of up-regulated genes during this process.

Overall design |
Ifiltrating cells into lungs were isolated by ficol-layering method, then RNA was extracted and quantified and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. We sought to obtain resolution of expression profiles. To that end, C3H mice were chanllenged with enterotoxin produced by Staphylococcus aureus (SEB). This strain of mice is susceptible to this toxin. The toxin was given intranasally and intraperitoneally with interval of 120 minutes. Before SEB challenge is taken place, the mice were pretreated with resveratrol or vehicle orally twice, 24 hours before SEB challenge and the second dose was given to the mice 90 minutes before intraperitoneal injection of SEB. Forty eight hours post SEB exposure, the mice were euthanized for tissues collection and then downstream analysis.
