Title |
Tmem161a is an important regulator for bone formation and bone strength through P38 MAPK pathway |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Bone remoding is an extraordinarily complex process involving a variety of factors, such as genetic, metabolic and environmental impacts. Among them, genetic factor plays a major role, but not all have been identified. We investigated the role of Transmembrane 161a (Tmem161a) in bone structure and function using wild-type (WT) and Tmem161a depleted (Tmem161aGT/GT) mice.

Overall design |
Microarray analysis was used to screen for genes that are related to Tmem161a expression. RNA was isolated from WT and Tmem161a-KO cells (n = 3 each), and cRNA was prepared. cRNA from each sample was hybridized to a pre-equilibrated Clariom S mouse. microarray chip, which was then washed, stained, and scanned in an HP ChipScanner (Affymetrix Inc., Santa Clara, USA).
