Title |
Investigation of RNA 5' ends in Campylobacter jejuni wildtype and an RNase III mutant strain |
Organism |
Campylobacter jejuni |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
differential RNA sequencing (dRNA-seq) (Sharma et al., 2010; Dugar et al., 2013) was used to differentially map 5' ends in Campylobacter jejuni NCTC11168 wildtype and RNase III (rnc, Cj1635c) deletion.

Overall design |
Total RNA was extracted from C. jejuni NCTC11168 WT and RNase III deletion strains grown to exponential phase, genomic DNA was depleted with DNase I, RNA was treated with terminator exonuclease (TEX) to enrich for primary transcripts, cDNA libraries were prepared at Vertis Biotechnologie AG, Freising, Germany, deep-sequencing was performed on an Illumina HiSeq 2000 instrument
