Title |
Gene expression profile at single cell level of cells in distal pulmonary arteries from healthy and hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertensive calves |
Organism |
Bos taurus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Distal pulmonary arteries contain multipe cell types and each cell type contains multiple functional state. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze the diversity of cell types in control animals and the changes of cell types and gene expression between cells from healthy and PH vessels.

Overall design |
Distal pulmonary arteries (DPAs) (less than 2mm in diameter) were dissected from the lungs of control and pulmonary hypertensive calves. Single cells were generated from DPAs, in which around 10,000 DPA cells from each animal were sequenced by sc-RNA-seq at depth of 100,000 reads/per cell.
