Title |
Genome-wide transcriptome analysis of the brain (ventral part of telenchephalon, hypothalamus and pituitary) of medaka (Oryzias latipes) kept under outdoor natural conditions over a period of two years |
Organism |
Oryzias latipes |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Expression profile of the brain (ventral part of telenchephalon, hypothalamus and pituitary) of medaka (Oryzias latipes) kept under outdoor natural conditions were obtained by RNA-seq analysis. Monthly transcriptomes for two years identified 3,341 seasonally-oscillating genes.

Overall design |
To investigated the yearly expression profile of each gene in each season, samples were collected every month at around 8 pm (Japan Standard Time) for two years, from October 2015 to October 2017 from medaka kept under outdoor natural conditions. RNA-seq analysis was performed using these time-series samples.
