Title |
Transcriptional profiling of male PAB rats with compensated and decompensated right ventricule |
Organism |
Rattus norvegicus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We performed molecular phenotyping of adaptive to maladaptive RV hypertrophy remodeling, using transcriptome analysis of RV tissue obtained from PAB rats. This data along with other datasets linked within this study, provides a resource to comprehensively compare human RV remodeling to the animal RV dysfunction models (PAB) and led to the validation of state-specific biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets for RV dysfunction.

Overall design |
RNA sequencing was performed for RV tissues obtained from PAB rats which were characterized as compensated RV, decompensated RV by hemodynamics, as well as normal RV from control rats, including only male samples as follows: control (n=5), compensated RV (n=5), decompensated RV (n=4)
