Title Astrocyte growth during morphogenesis is driven by the Tre1/S1pr1 phospholipid-binding G protein-coupled receptor
Organism Drosophila melanogaster
Experiment type Other
Summary TRAPseq was performed on Drosophila melanogaster astrocytes at different stages of development to assess the changes in gene translation that occur in astrocytes at these different stages.

Overall design Ribosomes were tagged in astrocytes using flies which expressed elaV-Gal80 and alrm-Gal4, UAS-EGFP-L10a. Ribsosomes were pulled down using GFP antibodies and the associated transcripts were isolated. Each sample contains 200 pooled fly heads; males and females were both used. Samples were isolated from flies at 4 timepoints: 48-72hr after puparium formation (P), 1-3 days post-eclosion (13), 10-12 days post-eclosion (1012) and 50-60 days post-eclosion (5060).
