Title Effect of insulin on West Nile virus (WNV) infection in Culex quinquefasciatus

Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Adult mosquitoes were fed blood containing 1e7 PFU WNV (kunjin strain) containing +/- 170 pM bovine insulin for 24 h. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq.
 
Overall design Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for WNV-infected adult mosquitoes +/- insulin. Raw gene expression data was used to determine the effect of insulin on Culex responses during WNV infection.
