Title Gene expression profiling of Antarctic krill in LD condition
Organism Euphausia superba
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary This work represents the first characterization of the krill circadian transcriptome under laboratory conditions and provides a first insight into the genetic regulation of physiological changes, which occur around the clock in light-dark (LD) and in constant darkness (DD) condition.

Overall design Gene expression profiling was performed with the ‘‘Krill 2.0’’ custom platform (Agilent) in specimens collected at regular intervals throughout the 24 hours cycle (external times: 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00, 24:00, 03:00 and 06:00) in light-dark (LD) condition.
