Title Transcriptomic responses to environmental temperature by turtles with thermosensitive and genotypic sex determination assessed by RNAseq inform the genetic architecture of embryonic gonadal development
Organisms Chrysemys picta; Apalone spinifera
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We report the expression profiles of putative genes involved in temperature-dependent sex determination across multiple developmental stages in turtles, and contrast this data with equivalent stages in turtles with sex chromosomes

Overall design Total RNA sequencing from trunks, AKGs and gonadal tissue from Chrysemys picta and Apalone spinifera turtles, sequenced on Illumina HiSeq.
