The total RNA (10 μg) of the six samples was extracted using TRIzol (Invitrogen) and further purified using an RNeasy column (Qiagen). The integrity of total RNA were also analyzed with the Bioanalyzer 2100 and RNA 6000 Nano LabChip Kit (Agilent Technologies).

The labeling procedure was carried out using an RNA Fluorescent Linear Amplification Kit (Agilent Technologies). The sample was labeled with Cy-3 dye only.

| Hybridization protocol |
Fragmentation was carried out by incubation at 60 °C for 30 min in a fragmentation buffer (Agilent Technologies), and the process was stopped by the addition of an equal volume of hybridization buffer (Agilent Technologies).Hybridization was carried out at 60 °C for 17 h in a hybridization oven (Robbins Scientific).

The TIFF image generated was loaded into Feature Extraction Software (Agilent Technologies) for feature data extraction, and data analysis was performed with MultiExperiment Viewer (MeV). The quantile normalization was performed using GeneSpring 11.5 software.
