Liver of S. aurata exposed to 6.8°C [T1_CE_a] |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Liver of S. aurata exposed to 6.8°C
Organism |
Sparus aurata |
Characteristics |
weight/length: 120±16 g body weight; 21±1 cm total length exposed to: 6.8 ± 0.3 °C (cold groups) tissue: liver
Treatment protocol |
Sea breams (120±16 g body weight; 21±1 cm total length) caught in Valle Bonello were kept in 5 m3 circular recycling tanks and acclimated over one month at 16 °C. Fish were then exposed to 6.8 ± 0.3 °C (cold groups). Water was firstly gradually cooled from 16 °C to 12 °C at a rate of 1°C day -1 and then reduced from 12 °C to 6.8 °C within 24 h. S.aurata were fasted during the trial.

Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Extracted according to QiAgen RNeasy MiniKit protocol for tissue samples
Label |
Cyanine 3
Label protocol |
Amplified and labeled according to Agilent One-Color Microarray-Based Gene Expression Analysis protocol
Hybridization protocol |
Hybridized according to Agilent One-Color Microarray-Based Gene Expression Analysis protocol
Scan protocol |
Array was scanned according to standard Agilent protocol at a resolution of 5 microns modifying default setting to scan the slide twice at two different sensitivity settings (XDRHi 100% and XDRLo 10%)
