Bisulfite conversion of genomic DNA was performed using using the EZ DNA Methylation™ Kit (ZymoResearch, Irvine, CA, USA). Bisulphite converted DNA was amplified, fragmented and hybridised to Illumina Infinium Human Methylation27 Beadchip using standard Illumina protocol.
