Biotinylated single stranded DNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 100ng of total RNA (GeneChip WT terminal labeling kit, Affymetrix).

| Hybridization protocol |
Following fragmentation of single stranded DNA were hybridized in Affymetrix Genchip hybridization oven 645 for 16 h at 40 C on GeneChip® Rat Gene 2.0 ST Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450_0002.

GeneChips were scanned using the Affymetrix Genechip scanner scanner 3000.Affymetrix Genechip command console used for scanning.

Expression console was used to generate CHP file .The intensity values of different probe sets (genes) in the GeneChip operating software (Affymetrix) were imported into GeneSpring GX version 12.6 software (Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA) and processed using the robust multi array analysis algorithm for background adjustment, normalization.
