Treatment protocol |
Animals were treated with either 100 ug/kg TCDD in corn oil vehicle or corn oil alone by oral gavage.

Growth protocol |
Animals were grown in a 12h/12h light/dark cycle, housed singly in suspended stainless-steel wire-mesh cages with pelleted R36 feed and tap water. The housing environment was maintained at 21 +/- 1 degree Celcius with relative humidity 50% +/- 10%.

Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted using Qiagen RNeasy Lipid Tissue Mini kits according to the manufacturer's instructions. Total RNA was quantified by UV spectrophotometry and RNA integrity was verified using an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA).

Data processing |
Quantitated array data (CEL files) were loaded into the R statistical environment (v3.1.0) using the affy package (v1.42.2) of the BioConductor library. Data was pre-processed with the RMA algorithm (Irizarry et al. NAR) and probes were mapped to Entrez Gene Ids using the rat2302rnentrezgcdf (v18.0.0) package in R.
