Treatment protocol The cells underwent no treatment during culture.
Growth protocol TE-1, TE-5, and TE-8 were cultured in RPMI-1640 supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum. Het-1A was cultured using the BEGM kit (Lonza, Basel, Switzerland).

Label protocol Total RNAs (250 ng) were 3’-labeled with Hy3 using the miRCURY LNA microRNA Hi-Power Labeling Kit (Exiqon) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
 
Hybridization protocol The microarrays were hybridized with the denatured (95℃, 2 min) labeled RNAs at 56℃ for 16 hours with rotation.
Scan protocol Fluorescent signals were detected using a SureScan Microarray Scanner G4900DA (Agilent).
Data processing The raw data were re-scaled to account for the differences in individual hybridization intensities. Data were normalized based on a quantile normalization method.
