Data processing |
All of the data sets were normalized with quantile normalization in R/Bioconductor by preprocessCore library. log2 transformation was applied to diminish the effect of skewed microarray intensity distributions. For our data we additionally applied centering around mean miRNA expression values of FTC samples to diminish technical differences between chips. All miRNAs in all four data sets were annotated with miRBase version 20. 2 versions of normalized file are available: one with miRNA annotation and other with probe sequence annotation.
