Total RNA was extracted with RNeasy® Mini Kit and RNase-Free DNase Set following manufacture's instructions. RNA quality and integrity was verified by gel electrophoresis, as well as by measuring 260/230 ratios with a NanoDrop 1000 spectrophotometer (Thermo Scientific, USA).

Cyanine-3 (Cy3) labeled cRNA was prepared from 0.5 ug RNA using Low Input Quick Amp Labeling Kit, One-Color (Agilent) according to the manufacturer's instructions

Hybridization protocol |
1.5 ug of Cy3-labelled cRNA (specific activity >10.0 pmol Cy3/ug cRNA) was applied for the hybridization process. To ensure the accuracy of the collected data, Agilent G2545A Hybridization Calibration Procedure (p/n G2545-90002, version A1 or higher) was performed.

Data processing |
Agilent Genespring GX software was used for raw data analysis and p-values were calculated with unpaired Student t-test Normalized signal intensity, using the 75th percentile signal value for inter-array comparisons. Compared to the median or 50th percentile signalsignal value, the 75th percentile of all of non-control probes on the microarray is a more robust and representative value of the overall microarray signal.
