| Growth protocol |
The human MDS/AML cell lines F-36P, MOLM-13, OHN-GM, SKK-1, SKM-1 were cultured in RPMI-1640 supplemented with either 10% (MOLM-13 and SKK-1) or 20% fetal bovine serum (F-36P, OHN-GM and SKM-1) at 37ºC in 5% CO2. Granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) was added to F-36P cell line (1ng/mL) and to OHN-GM cell line (10ng/mL).

Genomic DNA was extracted with AllPrep DNA/RNA/Protein Mini Kit (Qiagen). DNA quality and quantity was assessed using a Nanodrop Spectrophotometer and agarose gel electrophoresis.
