Growth protocol Deep RNA-seq was performed using total RNA isolated from male C57B/6 mouse left ventricle (LV) and right ventricle (RV) at postnatal day 0 (P0, prior to the ductal closure), day 3 (P3, transition), and day 7 (P7, terminal differentiation of the vast majority of cardiomyocytes). Strand specific cDNA libraries were constructed from three LV and RV total RNAs samples (biological replicate) at each time point with the exception of only two RV samples for day 7.

Extraction protocol Total RNA was isolated from LV and RV of male newborn mouse using the RNeasy Mini kit (Qiagen) following the manufacturer’s protocol.
RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols
