Title |
Primate fetal hepatic response to maternal obesity [5304687013_F] |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Baboon fetal liver, maternal obese
Organism |
Papio hamadryas |
Characteristics |
condition: maternal obese gender: female age: 165 days or 0.9 gestation tissue: fetal liver
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was isolated from fetal livers using TRI Reagent (Ambion, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions, followed by clean-up with QIAGEN RNeasy mini kit in accordance with the prescribed protocol provided with the kit. RNA integrity and concentration were determined by an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (NanoDrop 2000).
Label |
Biotin
Label protocol |
Complementary RNA (cRNA) was synthesized from total RNA using the Illumina Total Prep 96 RNA Amplification Kit.
Hybridization protocol |
Standard Illumina hybridization protocol.
Scan protocol |
Standard Illumina scanning protocol.
Description |
Sample name: 5304687013_F
Data processing |
Gene expression data were processed and analyzed using GenomeStudio (Illumina) and GeneSifter (PerkinElmer). Gene array data were median normalized and log2 transformed (GeneSifter). Cluster analysis of gene expression was done using hierarchical clustering by adjusting expression values to a mean of zero and scale to standard deviation of one in PartekĀ® Genomics SuiteĀ®. Supplementary Table 1 contains differentially expressed genes between MO and CON fetal livers at 0.9G.
