LS174T cells were purchased from the Cell Line Service culture collection (CLS #300392, DKFZ, Heidelberg). Cell lines were maintained in growth medium consisting of DMEM supplemented with 10% FCS, 10 mM Hepes, 1/100 MEM non-essential amino acid solution and 1/100 penicillin/streptomycin
