Extraction protocol |
Total RNA of the tissues was extracted using the Trizol method and analyzed by an Agilent 2100 bio-analyzer (Agilent Technologies). Strand-specific polyA+ RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols.

Data processing |
RNA-seq reads were filtered by inhouse scripts to get high quality reads. High-quality reads were aligned to the corresponding genome using TopHat (v2.1.1). Genome_build: human: hg19, monkey: rheMac2, tree shrew: tupBel1, mouse: mm9, pig: susScr3 Supplementary_files_format_and_content: bigWig files were generated using wiggles (v1.2.0); scores represented read coverage.
