Sample GSM291222 Query DataSets for GSM291222
Status Public on Feb 19, 2009
Title Control Transfection, OHT Induction 1h, B
Sample type RNA

Source name SKBR3
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics Estrogen Receptor alpha and beta negative breast cancer cells
Treatment protocol SKBR3 cells were transfected in 10 cm plates at roughly 60% density with Fugene for 30 hours (3microl/microgram). Cells were induced for 1 h with respective treatment.
Growth protocol SKBR3 cells were grown in RPMI-1640 media supplemented with 10% FCS and L-Glutamine. Cells were switched to media without serum 24 h before transfection.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Total RNA was extracted using TriZOL.
Label biotin UTP
Label protocol As suggested by the manufacturer, Illumina for beadchip Illumina human-6 v2.0 expression beadchip, Illumina TotalPrep RNA Amplification Kit from Ambion, Catalog #IL1791

Hybridization protocol As suggested by the manufacturer, Illumina for beadchip Illumina human-6 v2.0 expression beadchip
Scan protocol As suggested by the manufacturer, Illumina for beadchip Illumina human-6 v2.0 expression beadchip
Description Gene expression analyses were carried out to identify genes regulated by 17-beta estradiol (E2) and Hydroxytamoxifen (OHT) through GPR30 in SKBR3 cells.
Data processing Illumina Bead Studio, No background subtraction, No normalization
