Treatment protocol |
Bone marrow was collected from femurs and tibiae. Peripheral blood was collected from the retro-orbital sinus into microtainer tubes containing EDTA. Cells were purified using monoclonal monoclonal antibodies and then isolated on a fluorescence-activated cell sorter.

Growth protocol |
All cells were purified from mice between 7 and 12 weeks of age.

Extraction protocol |
RNA was extracted with Trizol reagent, followed by clean-up and DNase I treatment with QIAGEN RNeasy mini kit in accordance with the prescribed protocol provided with the kit. Quality control was performed with Agilent Bioanalyser.

Normalized data was restricted to a curated selection of probes that were supported by an Ensembl transcript and that were found on both V1.1 and V2.0 beadchips. The dataset was normalized with the normexp background correction followed by quantile normalization
