Title |
Endometrium, postmenopausal, tibolone, 26 |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Endometrium from tibolone-treated postmenopausal woman
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Characteristics |
Postmenopausal female. Tibolone treated. Patient 26.
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label |
biotin
Label protocol |
Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 6 microg total RNA (Expression Analysis Technical Manual, 2001, Affymetrix).
Hybridization protocol |
Following fragmentation, 10 microg of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip HG 133 Plus 2.0 Genome Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 400.
Scan protocol |
Scanning procedures were carried out as described by Affymetrix, Santa Clara.
Description |
Gene expression data. Endometrium from postmenopausal female (Klaassens et al., 2006, Hanifi-Moghaddam et al., 2007). Tibolone treated. Patient 26.
Data processing |
The data were analyzed with RMAExpress using Affymetrix default settings and were normalized according to the quantile method (Bolstad BM, Irizarry RA, Astrand M, Speed TP. A comparison of normalization methods for high density oligonucleotide array data based on variance and bias. Bioinformatics 2003;19:185-93). After normalization, the intensity values below 30 were set at 30.T
