Source name |
Lung RNA-seq sample, extracted from infected mouse, replicate 3
|
Organisms |
Mus musculus; Cryptococcus neoformans var. grubii H99 |
Characteristics |
strain/background: C57BL/6 gender: female age: 6-8 weeks tissue: Lung treatment: infected with C. neoformans
|
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
For the transcriptome analysis, mice and monkey were sacrificed at 7-day post infection. Lung and brain tissue were isolated and resuspended in RNAlater. Monkey lung tissues were removed from the chest, and cut into 0.5 cm X 0.5 cm X 0.5 cm cubes. Tissues were then processed for RNA-seq analysis. PBS treated mice and monkeys were used as RNA-seq analysis reference samples. Total RNA was isolated with Trizol. RNA library construction and sequencing were generated by using the TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation Kit based on the standard protocol. RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols.

Data processing |
Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and masked for low-complexity or low-quality sequence, then mapped to whole genome using bowtie v0.12.2. Genome_build: Mus_musculus.GRCm38 Genome_build: GCF_000364345.1_Macaca_fascicularis_5.0 Genome_build: Cryptococcus neoformans var. grubii H99 Supplementary_files_format_and_content: *.txt: Tab-delimited text files include NCBI Gene IDs and reads values (raw counts) for each Sample.
