Total RNA (2-8 ug) was converted into double stranded cDNA using a cDNA Synthesis System kit (Roche Applied Science_Mannheim_Germany) and the Poly-A control transcripts (Affymetrix_Santa Clara_CA). cDNA was then used for in vitro transcription reaction using the Microarray RNA target synthesis kit (Roche Applied Science) and labeling nucleotide mix (Affymetrix) to synthesize biotinylated complementary RNA (cRNA)
