The berries of ‘Sanbenti’ and its bud sport ‘11-06-25’ were used for RNA isolation. Total RNAs were extracted using TaKaRa MiniBEST plant RNA extraction kit (TaKaRa Bio Inc., Japan). For RNA-Seq, the cDNA libraries were constructed using the TruSeqTM RNA Sample Preparation Kit (Illumina, Inc.) according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with three replicates for each sample.

Data processing |
Illumina HiSeq X-ten used for basecalling. Clean reads were obtained by removing contaminating reads, adapter sequences, poly-A tails and other artifacts. The clean reads were mapped to the reference Vitis vinifera genome (http://www.genoscope.cns.fr/externe/Download/Projets/Projet_ML/data/) The fragments per kilobase of exon per million reads (FPKM) values of gene expression were calculated using Cuffdiff program Genome_build: Vitis vinifera 12X Supplementary_files_format_and_content: The tab-delimited text files files include genes read count for each sample (.txt)
