Sample GSM4759792 Query DataSets for GSM4759792
Status Public on Oct 14, 2020
Title control_case_3
Sample type RNA

Source name Human Brain Bank of the Brazilian Aging Brain Study Group (HBB-BABSG) of the University of São Paulo Medical School
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics gender: male
age: 83
tissue: Temporal Cortex (TC)
Treatment protocol Brain samples were frozen at -80ºC.
Growth protocol All samples were obtained from the Human Brain Bank of the Brazilian Aging Brain Study Group (HBB-BABSG) of the University of São Paulo Medical School, in accordance with the standards of the local ethics committee.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol microRNA isolation was performed with the mirVana™ PARIS™ Kits (Life Technologies, Lithuania) following manufacturer’s instructions.
Label biotin
Label protocol direct labeling of the miRNAs, the FlashTag™ Biotin HSR Labeling Kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific), with biotinylation checked by an Enzyme Linked Oligosorbent Assay (ELOSA) used to detect binding of biotinyled samples to spike, control RNA oligos adsorbed to a Nunc® plate.

Hybridization protocol 200 ng of labeled microRNA from each sample was hybridized to the array (Affymetrix® miRNA Array, version 4.1) in the hybridization instrument GeneTitan™ (Thermo Fisher Scientific), with the Array Strip Hybridization® kit as support. Hybridization settings were as recommended by the manufacturer.
Scan protocol Scanned on an GeneTitan™ instrument using the Applied Biosystems™ GeneChip™ Command Console™ in standard mode (Thermo Fisher Scientific).
Description Individual without neuropathological lesions or neurological signs
Data processing Results analyzed for quality purposes using the Expression Console™ software, version 4.1 (Thermo Fisher Scientific), and then exported for processing in the Transcriptome Analysis Console™ software version 3.1 (Thermo Fisher Scientific) to allows statistical analyses.
