Sample type |
SRA |
|
|
Source name |
retina
|
Organism |
Cavia porcellus |
Characteristics |
tissue: retina age: 12 weeks treatment: receive green light for 8weeks
|
Treatment protocol |
In this study, guinea pigs were randomly divided into 3 groups that received different lighting conditions (12:12 light cycle) for 8 weeks:
|
Growth protocol |
Forty-five male tri-color guinea pigs (Dunkin-Hartley strain, 2 weeks old) were obtained from the laboratory of Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences.

Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Retinas were removed, flash frozen on dry ice, and RNA was harvested using Trizol reagent. RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols The libraries were sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 (Illumina, 144 CA, USA) with paired end reads.

Data processing |
Retinas were removed, flash frozen on dry ice, and RNA was harvested using Trizol reagent. The RNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen) was used to isolate RNA from tissues according to the manufacturer’s instructions The RNA was quantified with spectrophotometry on a Nanodrop (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Grand Island, NY), and 260/280 ratios for all sample ranged from 2.11-2.13 The RNA Integrity Number (RIN = 9.0-10.0) was then evaluated on an Agilent Bioanalyzer (Agilent, Santa Clara, CA). the RNA-seq was performed by Genesky Biotechnologies (Shanghai, China). Briefly, 1 g of purified retinal RNA was used to construct Illumina sequencing libraries using the Illumina (San Diego, CA) TruSeq Stranded Total RNA LT kit.
