Total RNA was extracted using a Qiagen RNeasy mini kit (Cat#74104) following manufacturer's instructions. Library was constructed using NEBNext Ultra RNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (NEB, USA), following manufacturer's instructions.

The clustering of the index-coded samples was performed on a cBot Cluster Generation System using PE Cluster Kit cBot-HS (Illumina) Library preparations were sequenced on an Illumina platform and 125 bp/150 bp paired-end reads were generated. Paired-end clean reads were aligned to the reference genome using HISAT2. FeatureCounts v1.5.0-p3 was used to count the reads numbers mapped to each gene. Differential expression analysis between two conditions/groups (two biological replicates per condition) was performed using the DESeq2 R package (1.14.1) Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include FPKM values for each Sample Supplementary files format and content: Matrix table with raw gene counts for every gene and every sample
