Total RNA was extracted from FFPE tissue samples using RecoverAllTM Total Nucleic Acid Isolation de Ambion (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA, USA).

PCR assays were performed using the miHS-102Z miScript miRNA PCR Array Human Cancer Pathway Finder (QIAGEN) following the manufacturer’s instructions. Reverse transcription was performed from 250 ng total RNA using the miScript II RT (Qiagen). Quantitative real-time PCR (Applied Biosystems ViiA 7TM Real-Time PCR) were performed with initial activation step at 95oC for 15 minutes and 40 cycles at 94 oC for 15 seconds, 55 oC for 30 seconds and 70oC for 30 seconds.

Data processing was performed using RT2 Profiler PCR Array Data Analysis versión 3.5 (https://dataanalysis.qiagen.com/mirna/arrayanalysis.php, Qiangen). Ct values for each miRNa was normalized using the mean Ct value of SNORD61, SNORD68, SNORD95, SNORD96A and RNU6B following the formula ∆Ct = Ct (miRNA) - Ct (house-keeping mean). non-normalized.txt: Non-normalized values fold-change.txt: Fold Change: Cancer/Normal
