Clean reads were obtained by removing reads containing adapter, reads containing ploy-N and low quality reads from raw data.
Clean data were mapped to the duck reference genome (https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/all/GCF/015/476/345/GCF_015476345.1_ZJU1.0/GCF_015476345.1_ZJU1.0_genomic.fna.gz) by Hisat2 (version: 2.0.5).
mRNA levels was quantified by the value of fragments per kilobase of exon per million mapped reads (FPKM).
