All read data were processed with cutadapt v1.18 and mapped with Tophat2 v2.1.1/bowtie2 v2.3.4.1 as described previously (Nakamura et.al.) Expression levels as RPKM (Reads per kilobase of exon per million reads mapped) were calculated using cufflinks v2.2.1.
