Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and mapped to goat (Capra hircus) transcriptomes (GCF_001704415.1_ARS1) using Kallisto (v.0.46.1) with parameters -b 100. The gene abundances were obtained by kallisto-sleuth (v.0.30.0) pipeline in TPM (transcripts per million) (Bray NL et al. 2016).
