T3-treated dams received T3 in the drinking water (0.5 mg/L) + 0.01% BSA from embryonic day 12.5 to 18.5, while the drinking water of control dams only contained 0.01% BSA. Offspring were NEVER treated.

After mating, female mice were single housed after positive plug check (in order to monitor water/T3 intake as well) at 22°C under constant 12h light/dark cycle with ad libitum access to food and water. Offspring were always group house at 22°C under constant 12h light/dark cycle with ad libitum access to food and water.
