Spikelets at booting stage (Feeke 10)were harvested and directly vacuum-infiltrated with a formaldehyde cross-linking solution for ChIP-seq. More than 10 ng of ChIP DNA extracted from each sample was used to prepare the sequencing samples. Libraries were constructed and sequenced by Genenergy Biotechnology Co. Ltd. (Shanghai, China) and Novogene (Beijing, China). The libraries were sequenced with the HiSeq X Ten system (illumina, San Diego, California, USA) to produce 150-bp paired-end reads.

The sequencing reads were trimmed with fastp (0.22.0).The clean reads were aligned with bwa program (version 0.7.17-r1188).Peaks were called using MACS v1.4.2 with "--nolambda --nomodel --gsize=1500000000" parameters. Assembly: IWGSC RefSeq v1.0 Supplementary files format and content: bed(peak)
