Growth protocol Cell lines were grown in 10% FBS DMEM media with 2% penicillin/streptomycin at 37ºC, 5% CO2 atmosphere and 80% humidity.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Total RNA was extracted from cell pellets using Trizol following the manufacturer's recommendations.
Label Hy3
Label protocol 300ng of total RNA were treated with Calf Intestine Phosphatase and than labeled with Hy3 fluorescent dye.
 
Hybridization protocol Exiqon miRNA microarray slides containing denaturated labeled RNA in 1x hybridization buffer were hybridized at 56ºC for 16h.
Scan protocol Slides were scanned using an Agilent array scanner set to 10μm wit 100PMT sensitivity in an ozone-free-environment. Fluorescence intensities on scanned images were quantified using Feature Extraction software (Agilent) using the modified Exiqon protocol.
Description No BRCA1 expression confirmed by Western Blot.
Data processing Background correction was carried out using normexp, and data was normalized using quantiles between-arrays normalization. Data processing was carried out using Bioconductor´s limma package.
