Raw data with adapter sequences or low-quality sequences was filtered using SOAPnuke (v 2.1.7) with parameters: "-n 0.001 -l 20 -q 0.4 --adaMR 0.25 --ada_trim --minReadLen 150" clean reads were aligned to the Sorghum bicolor genome v3.1.1 (Phytozome) using HISAT2 (v2.2.1) Transcripts were then assembled using StringTie (v2.2.1). DEGs were identified using DESeq2 (v2.11.40.7) Assembly: Sorghum bicolor genome v3.1.1 Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited tabular files include raw counts for each sample
